World Largest Snow Cone

Paul Zajac and Station 885 Restaurant ruined the world record for the world's largest snow cone on Saturday January 23rd 2010. The record previously held by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in Mammoth Lakes, California. The Snow Cone ended with a weight of 5,714 lbs surpassing the previous record of 4,640 lbs (2.104 tons). The old record was beat at 2:15 pm with the final weight being finished at 4:30 pm. The challenge began at 11:00 am.

Paul Zajac and Station 885 are awaiting verification from The Guiness Book of World Records. The snow cone was built with 5,000 lbs of ice and contained 85 gallons of syrup (850 lbs). The new world record was celebrated by giving out over 2,400 free samples of the snow cone to the more than 3,000 spectators present. This attempt corresponded with the Plymouth International Ice Festival.

Paul Zajac is the General Manager of Station 885 Restaurant. Station 885 has been in business for 24 years. Station 885 Restaurant is owned by the Costanza Family and operated in Historic Old Village Plymouth.
