Susan Boyle secures trio of Guinness World Records

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has landed three entries in the new book of Guinness World Records.
The West Lothian vocalist, who last week sang for the Pope, shot to fame on the 2009 series of Britain's Got Talent.
Since then she has achieved worldwide fame and her debut album, entitled I Dreamed a Dream, became the fastest-selling record of the year.

She has now been officially inducted into the record book for the fastest-selling record by any female in the UK, the most successful debut album in Britain and as the oldest artist to see a first record hit the number one spot, both at home and in the US.

Boyle, 49, said: "I used to read this book as a wee girl. I never dreamt that one day I would actually appear in the Guinness Book of Records. I only ever wanted to sing and perform. This is truly fantastic."
In becoming the oldest singer to record a chart-topper, she broke the previous record, set by Jane McDonald, by some 13 years.
